DATA DISCOVERY & VISUALIZATION
RESEARCH  POSTER / 2024

Using the “How Might We...” methodology, we were asked to address this central question:

How might we promote and support an informed and successful transition to the professional world for Senior-year students in the School of Art?

We then began data collection for three weeks, making sure we recorded quantitative data as well as qualitative content. After the three weeks were
finished, our data got anonymously swapped with another student and we started to develop data visualizaion drafts with their data. After several
iterations, I settled on a final data visualization that captured the data collected by my peer.

My peer’s original research topic:

This project explores the impact of personal outlook on a designer's ideology, focusing on how optimism can inspire positive design outcomes and empower designers to envision and create a desirable future.

After I received the data, I decided the best option moving forward was to alter the topic as follows:

This project aims to focus on how creativity can influence emotional well-being and how the act of designing leads to positive states of mind in the majority of cases.

So my concluding “How Might We...” question is - How might we aid students in boosting their emotional states of well-being through creativity?
